Q: Japanese media reported that Isao Iijima, adviser to Japanese Prime Minister had met with senior Chinese officials and had a discussion on the meeting between Chinese and Japanese leaders during his visit to China in mid July. Please confirm.
A: Mr. Isao Iijima did apply for a Chinese visa recently. But as far as I know, he has not engaged in any official activity in China, nor have officials of the Chinese government made contact with him.
